Actress Sakshi Tanwar, born in Alwar, Rajasthan, belongs to a Rajput family. She completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and her graduation degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. Before entering the world of acting, the actress worked as a sales trainee in a 5 star hotel. After graduation, she started preparing for Administrative Services and Mass Communication and during this time she got a golden opportunity.

Sakshi auditioned for Doordarshan’s film song-based show ‘Albela Sur Mela’ in 1998 and was selected as a presenter. After this, the actress got the role of Parvati Aggarwal in the TV serial ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ which made her famous in every household. After this she played the role of Priya Kapoor opposite Ram Kapoor in ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. The pairing of both was very much liked in this show.
Worked on TV, Bollywood and OTT
Apart from TV, Sakshi Tanwar also tried her hand in Bollywood. The actress played the role of Daya Kaur, wife of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, in the 2016 Aamir Khan starrer film ‘Dangal’. After this, she was also seen in Manoj Bajpayee, Neena Gupta, ‘Dial 100’. After TV and Bollywood, Sakshi tried to capture OTT also. He made his OTT debut with ZEE5’s series ‘Karle Tu Bhi Mobbat’. Apart from this, she also appeared in series like ‘The Final Call’, ‘Mission Over Mars’ and ‘Mai: A Mother Rage’.
How did Sakshi become a mother without marriage?
Despite a brilliant career and beautiful acting, Sakshi Tanwar did not settle down. The 51 year old actress has not married till date. Although she has definitely become the mother of a daughter. Actually, in the year 2018, Sakshi had adopted a 9-month-old girl, whom she named Ditya Tanwar. The actress is living a happy life with her daughter.
